What is counseling?

Counseling is a collaborative effort between you and the counselor. This collaboration helps you to identify goals and possible solutions to problems which negatively impact your life. I love to use your strengths to improve coping skills, promote behavior change, and optimize your mental health.

What does the first session look like?

In the first session, I will get to know you and learn what you hope to achieve from counseling. Then we will develop a plan to achieve these goals.

Who needs counseling?

Everyone can benefit from counseling. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Even healthy people are encourage to get annual check ups. Therefore, anyone can benefit from getting a check up for your mental health.

How long are the sessions?

Most sessions are 1 hour long however an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) session can last as long as 90 minutes.

How long should someone receive treatment?

Treatment usually lasts between 6 months to 1 year

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I accept several insurance plans including Oscar Health, United Healthcare, Oxford, Aetna, and Cigna

Do you see clients in-person?

No, I provide private virtual sessions on your computer or by phone. Through online therapy, I can provide quality care in the comfort of your own home.
